We’ve all been there—the doorbell rings and you’re still in your apron, the trash is full, and you can’t find the bottle opener. Here is the 30-minute checklist to ensure you are ready when the first guest arrives.


T-Minus 30 Minutes: The Quick Clean

  • Empty the kitchen trash.
  • Clear the entryway of shoes and coats.
  • Quick bathroom check (clean towel, extra toilet paper).

    • T-Minus 20 Minutes: The Atmosphere

  • Light the candles.
  • Start the playlist.
  • Adjust the temperature (it gets warmer once people arrive).

    • T-Minus 10 Minutes: The Bar & Bites

  • Open the first bottle of wine or prep the signature cocktail.
  • Put out the non-perishable snacks (nuts, olives).
  • Set out napkins and glasses where people can find them.

    • T-Minus 5 Minutes: The Personal Prep

  • Finish your own drink.
  • Take a deep breath.
  • Put on your "I've got this" smile.
